What we collect, why and what you can ask us to do with it.

Who we are

Radial is a trade name of Strakzat B.V., which is responsible for the personal data described on this page. In legal terms it is the controller: the party that decides why and how it is processed.

  • Strakzat B.V., Voorhaven 27C, 3025 HC Rotterdam, the Netherlands
  • Chamber of Commerce (KvK) 76519139
  • info@studioradial.com

What we collect

This site has no accounts. We process personal data in five situations:

  • When you use the contact form: your name, your email address, your company if you give it, the topic you pick, your message and any files you attach to it. The form sends it all, files included, by email to our inbox, through Resend, which keeps that email and the record of its delivery for 30 days, as it does with every email it sends.
  • When you sign up for the newsletter: your email address, and the moment and the language you signed up in. Until you confirm, we keep none of it ourselves: the address travels in the link we email you, encrypted, so no web address or server log holds it readably, and the link stops working after 48 hours. Resend, which sends that email, keeps it and the record of its delivery for 30 days, as it does with every email it sends.
  • When you email or call us: what you send us, and the details that come with it, such as your email address or phone number.
  • When you visit the site: your IP address, the page you asked for and your browser and device type. Our host records these in server logs, and measures how fast each page loads in your browser (Speed Insights): the page, your browser, operating system, device type, connection speed and country, without cookies. It also counts which pages are visited (Web Analytics): the page, the page you came from, your browser, operating system, device type and country, again without cookies; a visit is told apart from the next by a code that is discarded after a day. We do not use them to follow or profile you.
  • When you allow Leadinfo: its script sends Leadinfo information about your browser and the pages you visit, and Leadinfo receives your IP address with it, to look up which organization the network belongs to.

Why we use it, and on what basis

The law only allows us to process personal data for a clear purpose and on a legal basis. Ours are:

  • To answer your message and, if you ask for one, to prepare a proposal. The basis is our legitimate interest in answering a question you sent us, or taking steps you asked for before a contract.
  • To send you the newsletter: a short email when we publish something new. The basis is your consent, which you give by signing up and then confirming with the link in the email we send you (double opt-in). You can withdraw it at any time with the link in every email (where you can also change the language you receive it in), or by emailing info@studioradial.com.
  • To carry out a collaboration once there is one: planning, delivering and invoicing the work. The basis is that contract, and the legal duty to keep our administration.
  • To keep the site online, secure and fast, which is what the server logs and the speed measurement are for. The basis is our legitimate interest in a site that works and is not misused.
  • To count which pages are read, without cookies, which is what Web Analytics is for. The basis is our legitimate interest in knowing which pages people find useful.
  • To see which organizations visit the site, so we can get in touch with organizations that show interest. The basis is your consent. You can withdraw it at any time through Cookie settings at the bottom of the page or in this statement, under Cookies and browser storage.

We do not sell your data, we do not use it for advertising and we make no automated decisions about you.

Cookies and browser storage

To work, the site keeps a few things on your device: at most two entries in your browser's storage, and no cookie. For those it does not ask. They remember two things:

  • In our presentation, whether its letter shortcuts are on, when you turn them off: stored in your browser under radial:deck-shortcuts. It never leaves your device.
  • Your choice in the banner: stored in your browser under radial-consent for twelve months, or until what we ask about changes, after which we ask again.

Leadinfo keeps nothing on your device in our setup: no cookies and no entries in your browser's storage. With your consent, its script sends Leadinfo information about your browser and the pages you visit, and Leadinfo receives your IP address with it, to look up which organization the network belongs to. The law treats reading that information from your browser like a cookie. That is why the banner asks for your permission on your first visit, and why the place to change your mind is called Cookie settings.

Decline, or ignore the banner, and Leadinfo never loads. Change your mind later through Cookie settings, below and at the bottom of the page: withdraw consent and the page reloads without Leadinfo, and it does not load again. Should anything of Leadinfo's be left on your device, we remove it as well.

Who else handles your data

A few service providers help us run the site and our email. They process your data only on our instructions, under a data processing agreement:

  • Vercel hosts the site, keeps its server logs, measures its loading speed and counts its page views.
  • Resend delivers messages from the contact form to our inbox, with the files attached to them, sends the newsletter and the email that confirms a signup, and keeps the list of subscribers, with the language each receives the newsletter in: at first the language of the site they signed up on.
  • Our email provider stores the messages you send us.
  • Leadinfo, based in the Netherlands, shows us which organizations visit, if you allow it.

Vercel and Resend are based in the United States, or pass data there. Moving data there is covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. Beyond these providers, we only share your data when the law requires us to.

How long we keep it

  • Messages you send us, the files attached to them included: for as long as the conversation runs, and up to two years after our last contact, so we can pick it up again. Then we delete them.
  • Data that belongs to a collaboration: for as long as the collaboration runs. Invoices and the rest of our administration we keep for seven years, because Dutch tax law requires it.
  • Your newsletter subscription: until you unsubscribe. After that your address stays on the list, marked as unsubscribed, so that we never email you again; ask us at info@studioradial.com and we delete it. An address that is never confirmed is never added to the list: only the confirmation email and the record of its delivery stay with Resend, for 30 days, and for one day a code made from the address, from which the address cannot be read back, so that it is sent at most one confirmation email per day.
  • Server logs: at most 30 days, after which the host deletes them.
  • Organization visits in Leadinfo: two years.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • show you the personal data we hold about you;
  • correct it, or delete it;
  • use it for less, or stop using it where we rely on our legitimate interest;
  • withdraw your consent for Leadinfo, through Cookie settings under Cookies and browser storage, or by email;
  • unsubscribe from the newsletter, or change its language, with the link in every email, or by email;
  • hand it to you in a common file format, or send it to another party.

Send your request to info@studioradial.com. We answer within one month. We only ask for more information when we cannot otherwise tell the request is really yours. Writing from the address we already know you by is usually enough. We do not ask for a copy of your ID.

How we protect it

We protect your data with measures that fit what it is. The site is only served over an encrypted connection, access to our inbox and systems is limited to the people who need it and our providers are held to the same standard by contract.

If you think your data is not safe with us, or you see signs it has been misused, tell us right away at info@studioradial.com.

If you have a complaint

Tell us first. We would rather put it right. You also have the right to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

Changes to this policy

When the way we handle personal data changes, we update this page and the date at the top of it. The version on this page is the one that applies.
