Define a clear, compelling vision for your product that guides every decision from strategy to design.
A clear vision makes the next hundred decisions easier. We work out who the product is for, what it is trying to change and what it will deliberately not do, then write that down in words your team can repeat. A vision that needs a slide deck to explain is not doing its job.
Typically 1–3 days
Gather
Interviews with leadership and the people closest to customers.
Frame
Target audience, the change you are trying to make and the boundaries around it.
Sharpen
Drafted, tested on people outside the room and cut down until it is memorable.
Land
A vision statement, product principles and a narrative your team can use.
A roadmap says what and when. A vision says why, and is what you use to decide what falls off the roadmap.
Whoever can say no. A vision written without that person does not survive its first conflict.
A good one lasts years. If yours needs rewriting every quarter it was a plan, not a vision.
