A structured 2-day workshop to define your target customer, sharpen your value proposition and align your team on a clear strategic direction.

Before you design anything, it helps to agree what you are building and for whom. A Foundation Sprint is a structured two-day workshop that pins down your founding hypothesis, sharpens the value proposition and maps where you sit against alternatives. It is deliberately short: the output is a direction the whole team can repeat back, not a strategy deck nobody reads.

2 days

  1. Hypothesis

What we believe to be true about the customer and the problem, written down so it can be tested.

  2. Value

What you offer that the alternatives do not, stated plainly enough to survive a sales call.

  3. Positioning

Where you sit against the real competition, including the alternatives that do not look like competitors at first glance.

  4. Plan

The first concrete steps, with an owner against each.

  • A Foundation Sprint decides which problem is worth solving. A design sprint tests a solution for it. They pair well, in that order.

  • Founders or product leadership, plus anyone who talks to customers. Six people is a good ceiling.

  • A written hypothesis, value proposition, positioning map and action plan. All of it is made in the room, during the sprint itself.
